
Stand Up For Africa 2019
Stand Up for Africa is an event including Tuscany based artist, African refugees and young people from Casentino. The artist installative performance is a response to a series of workshops. The artist identifies the concept of humanity and its’ reaction to separation by choosing to specifically focus on the decay of humanity. This is depicted in the poem she carefully stenciled to a thin wooden board placed on the floor of the gallery. She acknowledges borders by the perceived concepts of black and white while attempting to eradicate them at the same time. She uses tedious and repetitive labor by scrubbing the line created from the contrast of the black and white painted on the board. The artist's interest in the interaction of the audience, her goal is always to evoke emotions pertaining to the human being and the way the human state it perceived.
